About Me
In all, I have been teaching for a total of 13 years. I have a Masters Degree in Education and have taught grades 1st through 7th. I hold credentials in Elementary Education, Secondary Math and Science.
I believe education is a life long process. In my classroom, I strive to foster critical thinking, and encourage students to ask questions and seek answers. We look not only at the what, but at the why behind the theories and lessons we study.
When I'm not exploring the universe from my classroom, I'm taking it in on foot, by car, by train, or by plane. In the past 10 years I have been to over 20 countries. Two of my most memorable experience include spending one summer in India volunteering as a teacher in an orphanage, and another volunteering with marine biologists off the coast of Kenya.
